Maleny Lodge has been operating continuously as a successful Boarding House, Guest House, Bed & Breakfast and Accommodation for over 70 years.
Prominent figure Mr A.C.K. (Alfred) Cooke built the original house named ‘Rosedale’ in 1905 for his wife Ada and their 11 children. With at least five bedrooms, this grand Queenslander was an impressive residence. The Watson family purchased the property in the mid-1940s and with the addition of some extra rooms named it ‘Maleny Lodge’. It was set up as a Gentleman’s Boarding House which accommodated teachers, bank managers and other professionals in need of long-term accommodation. By the 1980s, it had transitioned to a bed and breakfast style accommodation.
Current owners Angus and Jo purchased the property in 2018 and began a full renovation to the building and grounds. Maleny Lodge now offers boutique accommodation right in the heart of Maleny.
